Call for entries

The VII Edition of the UU Prize STARTUP Awards is announced for the current year 2023 for the following categories

Category Startup revelation

This category is open to technology-based companies that are strongly innovative in product and service and have been in existence for a maximum of 3 years and have at least one female co-founder.

Health and Foodtech ODS 3 category

Business projects that have an impact on improving people's health or on new technologies in the food industry may apply for this category.

Education SDG 4

Projects that have an impact on improving education are eligible for this category.

SDG 5 Equal Opportunities Category

This category is open to business projects with a social component, which respond to SDG5 and reduce the digital gender gap.

SDG 11-13-14 Sustainability Startup Category

This category is open to business projects with a social component, which respond to the SDG5 and reduce the carbon footprint.

SDG 16 Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions Category

Startups that promote peace, transparency and good governance are eligible to apply.

Cybersecurity

Startups that promote cyberSecurity  are eligible to apply.

 

Awards

Access to investors advise

Mentoring from their industry leaders and by specialised W Startup C partners

Promotion in social networks and media.

UUPRIZE physical and NFT trophée.

Categories are mutually exclusive.

Objective

The aim of these awards is to:

  • Support and enhance female entrepreneurship and its visibility.
  • Contribute to the development and consolidation of companies and bridges with ecosystems.

Assessment criteria

The following criteria will be taken into account:

  • Innovation, differentiation and originality of the business opportunity.
  • Technical, commercial and economic-financial viability of the company.
  • Strategic plan and economic forecast for the next 3 years.
  • Forecast of R&D&I actions.
  • Prospects for internationalisation and market expansion.

The jury reserves the right to resolve any circumstance not covered by these criteria, as well as to interpret them. The awards will be presented at a ceremony and advance notice will be given so that they can be attended.

Deadline for submission of projects 15th May 2024.
